You know what? I am not against that logic, in fact I'd be delighted if a streaming service had a lot of TV shows that are SO good that I'd feel compelled to pay its subscription fee just to follow those shows.

But Netflix is not that streaming service for me personally, to be honest. There are a few gems here and there, sure, but nothing of the magnitude you describe.

Neither is Disney Plus or HBO Max... yet. But those services understand the importance of quality and they will get to the point that they'll have me hooked one day. Netflix is all about quantity. I am not impressed by that at all. In fact I loath it. Netflix has a terrible effect on people: it gets them used to watching mediocre or even garbage content. I hate that and I wish it would change. The sooner, the better.
