You are absolutely right, part of the problem is the fact that there’s a reason why Windows command such a large market share. But it has really come to that: one now has to choose between inconvenience and accepting that he/she is practically giving away a disturbing amount of personal information and data to Microsoft. It is that simple.

Personally, I am still working on Windows but I have setup a really decent Linux PC that I will try to gradually move everything work-related and personal data-related to. Plus I am saving for a really capable MacBook Pro in order to test how easy it would be to adapt to macOS for everything work-related. One of these two options has to work somehow.

Sure, I’ll always have a gaming PC based on Windows, but that’s it. I am done with Microsoft’s antics. I do not feel that I have to put up with all this anymore.
