Yeah, I know! Thing is that there’s real risk nowadays because of people’s indifference to “details” regarding their personal or work PCs/smartphones/whatever. These devices are now gathering a lot of personal information and manufacturers/software vendors are not exactly transparent about what kinds of data they collect and what they do with those.

Data is invaluable nowadays and consumers have the right to deny any and all systems the right to use this personal data commercially. Microsoft does not seem at all interested in respecting that, though. They are hardly alone in this, all the “Big Five” in tech do it one way or another, but that’s no excuse. They all have to change their tune at some point. Sooner rather than later.
