Valid points there and yes, I do agree that some of the work done for Windows 11 will be important for Windows 12.
But then again, that's just the thing: they could have *actually done the work*, offering a rebuilt OS with a number of architectural changes "under the hood" plus the UI refinements, they could have taken their time ironing out the bugs and issues and *then* released a truly great version of Windows.
It was a conscious choice on Microsoft's part not going down that road - and it was a consumer-hostile choice. So now Windows 11 will go down in history as a pointless release and a flop.
