That’s not the case, obviously. For starters, you can’t “vs” apples and oranges, the former is a financial system while the latter is a political system. There are a number of socialist countries where capitalism works fine. Plus, capitalism is everywhere. You can’t just vote it out.

But, most importantly, you seem to be missing the point of the whole story as well. It’s not that “vanilla” iPhone 14 models would be “second-class citizens” because those models will be technologically less advanced and less expensive than the Pro models.

They would be “second-class citizens” because if Apple makes any new features not tied to hardware artificially exclusive to Pro models, then the “regular” models’ owners will not be getting all they paid for.

It’s Apple’s treatment of those people that would not be fair. Not the Pro models being more advanced and expensive, thus more capable. That is a given. But Apple making software that could work acceptably well on the A15 chip look like it could only work on the A16 chip, that is what I would object to. That’s all.
