That's my point exactly: nobody should be buying these Intel-based Macs now, even at very deep discounts, because they just have no future.

Maybe if someone is absolutely *desperate* to get one *right now* because of some specific project requiring the horsepower? Maybe someone who KNOWS that he/she will be using it with Bootcamp for many years to come?

I don't know. For my money, it's better to hold on to one's current setup and wait. An Apple Silicon-based Mac Pro WILL NOT be cheap but if it costs about the same, delivers twice the performance and gets software support for many years to come, it's just the obvious choice, isn't it?
