Pages is also overkill for what I am using Wordpad for, to be honest. I need something between a plain text editor and a word processor - leaning towards the text editor simplicity - and Wordpad is/was perfect for that.

You are right about everything else, though. I am seriously considering getting a MacBook Pro and switching over to macOS for good.

It's kind of a bad timing to do so now, since there will definitely be MBPs based on the M4 at some point in the next 9 months or so - but this is the closest I have ever gotten to leaving Windows.

I'll keep my extremely powerful PC around for gaming (it cost a pretty penny to get it) but I'm seriously considering switching to Mac for work. God knows I am already knee-deep into the Apple ecosystem anyway with the iPhone and the iPad Pro, so...
