It’s only insensitive if there’s a negative connotation in your mind about that word already.

I routinely refer to Japanese manufacturers as “the Japanese” and American ones as “the Americans” in articles in order to avoid repeating the name of the company too many times.

I thought it was obvious. I guess it’s not these days, everyone is too eager to just point out to others stuff they find offensive. Calm down. I have nothing against the Koreans, the Japanese or even the Americans. In tech matters, at least.
