As a matter of fact I agree with you, despite this industry's thriving being in my best interest.

No, what the world needs right now is not higher pixel counts on large TV screens.

But it does not seem like any government in any country of the world, properly elected or not, is keen on giving its citizens what they actually need. That would be preferable to having advanced TVs any day of the month... but it's not happening and it's not tech's fault that it doesn't.

Tech just has to evolve because it would otherwise wither and die. But it can't be held accountable for our shortcomings, our inability to appoint, you know, leaders who are capable and not corrupted.

Believe me, I'd love to see people fixing that first and worrying about luxury problems such as pixel counts later.
