All true, but Apple at least does most of its beta testing internally. Results are far from perfect but they are passable. Never literally lost data after a macOS upgrade, for instance, as it happened twice with Win10.
Well, yeah, there are different versions of "enough" for each of us, but stuff like Windows Explorer memory leaks or the AMD scheduler bug... come on, that's unacceptable. Weird compatibility issues is one thing, fundamental flaws in OS operation is another.
As a matter of fact what you suggest is exactly what I tell people to do with Win11: wait for at least until summer or the first feature update to upgrade.
The whole point of the discussion is that it did not have to be this way. Microsoft was not under pressure, it could have delivered the perfect OS (as perfect as it can be) in September 2022 and everyone would be in a better place than where we are now. Just my two cents.
